When & WhereThe full season CSA starts in early June and goes through October (20 weeks). The Summer or Short Season Share is 10 weeks and includes July, August and the first week of September. We have two distribution days: Tuesdays from 3-7 pm OR Saturdays from 10 am - 1 pm. Both distributions are at the farm (607 Elm Street, S. Dartmouth). When you sign-up, you choose either Tuesday or Saturday and that is when you come every week. If for some reason you can't make your regular pick-up, let us know ahead of time and you can either pick-up on the other day or we can pack a share for you to pick up at the farm.

Distribution follows a market-style format, allowing you to choose the items you want and leave the items you don't want. Each week you can choose a set number of items (depending on the size share you pick) from a selection of the freshest, in-season vegetables, greens, and some fruits (strawberries in June and watermelon & melons in August). An item can vary from a bag of spinach, a bunch of carrots or beets, to a pound of tomatoes or a box of beans. You don't have to take items you don't like and you can take multiples of the veggies that your really like. A few items will have a per share limit, for example the first tomatoes of the season will be limited so we can make sure that everyone gets a share of the harvest. As the season progresses, we will remove these limits.

Pick-Your-Own GardenAs a CSA member, you also have access to our pick-your-own (PYO) garden, during distribution hours. Items from the PYO garden don't count towards your set number of items (they are an extra), but we ask that you only take what your family will use for the week. Growing in the PYO will be cherry tomatoes, a variety of herbs, and flowers. The PYO garden is a fun place to eat a cherry tomato still warm from the sun, teach your children where their food comes from, and chat with other CSA members. If you are unable to use the PYO, let us know and we will accommodate you.

New Year's Special If you pay in full by January 31st, you get 2 weeks for free Spring Special If you pay in full by March 31st, you get 1 week for free |
The majority of our budget is spent before CSA even starts, so we hope you will take advantage of our two incentives for paying in full early: New Year’s Special (pay in full by Jan. 31th and get 2 weeks for free) and the Spring Special (pay in full by March 31st and get 1 week for free). If you choose to pay a $100 deposit to reserve your spot, we ask that you pay the remaining balance by the start of CSA in June. We do offer payments plans across the summer if it is a burden to pay all at once. We also offer a subsidized CSA share with pick-up in New Bedford. Please contact us for more details.
